ELISHA, Kingstown, R. I. prob. s. of John, by w. Elizabeth had Thomas, wh.
d. 1722; but others, earlier, or later, or both, he had, for in 1725,
Dr. McSparran, missiona. of the London Soc. for Prop. Gosp. bapt. his
w. and ch. John, Edward, Susanna, Ann, Elizabeth and Abigail. He d. early
in 1729 at London, whither he had gone on a lawsuit. EPHRAIM,
Plymouth, a. 1690, blacksmith, m. Rebecca Gray, wh. has been thot. d.
of Edward, and he was suppos. s. of James; but neither of h. nor w. is
the f. ascert. FRANCIS, Boston, by w. Sarah had Sarah, b. 29 Apr.
1689. GEORGE, Lynn 1637, rem. to Sandwich, d. a. 1653, but perhaps
had gone back to L. at least inv. of 28 June in that yr. of a Lynn man
is seen. GEORGE, perhaps of Lynn, was one of Lothrop's comp. kn. as
the flower of Essex, k. at Bloody brook, 18 Sept. 1675. Perhaps he was
not k. but bad. wound. for in Essex Inst. II. 183, is abstr. of his will of 8
Nov. GERSHOM, Swanzey, k. by the Ind. on the first day of hostil. 24 June
1675. GILBERT, Boston, freem. 1677, by w. Frances had Samuel, b. 30
Nov. 1678; but this was thot. to stand for Colesworthy, among the frequent
blunders of our Secr. of the Col. or his dep. yet it is pr. Cole in the list
of mem. of O. S. ch. in Boston, adm. 30 Mar. 1677, being the same day,
when Samuel Sewall, afterward ch. just. was rec. and S. follows next
after C. See the note of Mr. Colesworthy in Geneal. Reg. VI. 389.
In the O. S. rec. Gilbert had Thomas (wh. by town rec. was b. 14),
bapt. 20 June 1680. GREGORY, Portsmouth, R. I. 1655. HENRY,
Sandwich 1643, perhaps went to Middletown, there m. 10 Dec. 1646,
Sarah Rusco (prob. d. of William b. by his first w. in Eng.) had Henry,
b. 20 Sept. 1647; James, 8 Feb. 1650; John, 14 Feb. 1652; William,
25 Apr. 1653; Sarah, 22 Oct. 1654; Samuel, 10 Sept. 1656; Mary, 11
June 1658; Joanna, 1 Aug. 1661; Abigail, 28 Oct. 1664; and Rebecca,
Apr. 1667; rem. to Wallingford, there d. 1676. The wid. d. at Saybrook,
Jan. 1688, and nine of those ten ch. (Sarah not ment.) div. the
est. in the same yr. Henry, eldest s. with Samuel, the youngest, then
liv. at Wethersfield; James, and William, at Wallingford; John, at Boston;
Mary, w. of Richard Goodale, at Middletown; Joanna, or Hannah,
w. of Samuel Taylor, at Wethersfield; Abigail, w. of John Stephens, at
Killingworth; and Rebecca, then unm. HENRY, Boston, by w. Mary
had Ann, b. 9, bapt. 13 Nov. 1687; Henry, 2, bapt. 6 Jan. 1689; Mary,
bapt. 14 Dec. 1690; and perhaps more. Henry, s. of one Henry, appears
on rec. as b. 27 July 1676; but there it is spell. Coole. HUGH,
Plymouth 1653, shipwright, perhaps s. of James the first, rem. to
Swanzey, m. 8 Jan. 1655, Mary, d. of Richard Foxwell of Scituate, had
James, b. 3, or (by ano. page on the same Col. Rec.) 8, Nov. 1655;
