1685. Yet this last may have been ch. of his sec. w. Rebecca, d. of
Edward Thurston. WILLIAM, Ipswich, came prob. in the fleet with
Winthrop desir. in Oct. 1630, adm. was freem. and was sw. 18 May foll.
went with the earliest sett. 1633, to I. and may have rem. to other town
bef. his d. for we kn. nothing more of him. WILLIAM, Watertown 1631,
freem. 22 May 1639, by w. Margery, had Mary, b. 10 Dec. 1640; Elizabeth
26 Nov. 1642; Lydia; and rem. to Wolburn, there had Hannah, 3 Feb.
1646. He d. 15 Mar. 1682, aged 87, and his wid. d. 11 Oct. 1694,
aged 95. Mary m. 27 Dec. 1655 (rather young) William Locke; Elizabeth
m. 20 Dec. 1659, George Brush, both of Woburn; Hannah m. 1667,
William Frissell of Concord; and Lydia had two ds. and was a wid.
when in his will of 10 Dec. 1681, her f. provid. for them. A careful
writer in Geneal. Reg. V. 248, 9, conject. that this man emb. at London
in the Plain Joan, and his w. in the Primrose, in May and July respectiv.
1635, both for Virg. but he next yr. own. to me, that he was satisf. of the
contra. WILLIAM, Salem, was suppos. by Mr. Felt to be the man wh.
wish. adm. as freem. 1630, tho. in my opin. he came first in 1634, by the
Mary and John. He kept an ordinary, and was censur. by the governm. when
he was lieut. 1645, for offence in petitn. to Eng. See Winthrop II. 301. By a
former w. he had a s. and d. and by w. Catharine (wh. surv . him, and in May
1647 was licens. to cont. the tavern) had four more ch. His d. Deborah d. 16 Mar.
1661. Est. was good acc. inv. giv. by the wid. July 1647, up to £587, 3, 2.
* WILLIAM, Dorchester, a. 1636, by w. Sarah had Sarah b. 21 June 1638, d.
soon; Jonathan, 1 Oct. 1639; Nathaniel, 27 Jan. 1642; Experience, 30 Mar.
1643; Increase, 1 Mar. 1646, wh. d. at 16 yrs.; Rebecca, a. 1648;
John, 1651; Samuel, bapt. 23 Oct. 1653; William, b. 3 July 1656; and
Sarah, again, Mar. 1659. He was selectman 1646 and 7, rem. 1659 to
Northampton, for wh. he was rep. 1663, and 13 yrs. more, but not
consecut. and lieut. in Philip's war. His w. d. 6 Sept. 1675, and he m.
15 Nov. 1676, Sarah, wid. of Thomas Cooper of Springfield, wh. d. 8
May 1688; and he d. 18 July 1690, aged 81. Rebecca m. 9 Dec.
1669, Israel Rust; and, Sarah m. 3 Dec. 1675, John Parsons. WILLIAM,
Lynn 1610, had Lydia, b. 31 Oct. 1642; Hannah, 11 Jan. 1644; Sarah;
Mary; prob. William; Elizabeth 6 Oct. 1652; Martha, 15 Apr. 1655, d.
under 7 yrs. and John, 2 Jan. 1659, wh. d. the yr. after his f. that d. 5
Mar. 1683. His will was made 1679, and his wid. Mary d. 19 Aug.
1693; and; his d. Hannah d. 26 Oct. foll. WILLIAM, Hartford 1639,
serv. of John Crow, rem. to Haddam, d. 1681, leav. William, John,
Joseph, Thomas, and sev. ds. WILLIAM, Yarmouth, d. 7 Dec. 1668,
prob. unm. giv. his little prop. by nuncup. will to Joseph Benjamin.
