bapt. 17 Mar. 1644; and Hannah, b. 1646; and by sec. w. Abigail, wid.
of Robert Sharp
[1], had Noah, b. 15 July 1667; and Sarah, again, bapt. 11 Dec.
1670. He was deac. and d. 24 Nov. 1679. Hannah m. 14 Oct. 1668, Ebenezer

1688; was freem. 1690, capt. and rul. elder, and d. Sept. 1720. RICHARD,
Dorchester 1636, if he ever came, br. of Nicholas, had Richard,
Elizabeth and Deborah, as nam. in the will of their uncle John, when f. was
in Eng. ROBERT, Boston 1687, may have been short time at Dorchester
in 1660, at B. had w. Mary, and three ch. of wh. one was Robert,
a sea capt. wh. d. on a voyage. He came, it is said, from Littleham,
Co. Devon, a mile and a half E. of Exmouth, but was not, prob. a near
relative of the Dorchester tribe. ROGER, Dorchester 1630, came in
the Mary and John, from Plymouth, 20 Mar. 1630, was b. at Salcomb
Regis, on the coast of Devonsh. 6 Apr. 1609, the youngest of five s. and
arr. at Nantasket, 30 May, with his rev. friends Maverick and Warham,
m. 6 Nov. 1633, Joanna, d. of Thomas Ford, a fellow-passeng. had
ten s. and four ds. Samuel, b. 11 oct. 1634; William, 2 July 1636, d.
at 2 yrs.; Elizabeth 22 June 1638; Experience, 23 Aug. 1640, d. in few
weeks; Waitstill, a s. 22 Oct. 1641, d. under 2 yrs.; Preserved, 23 Nov.
1643; Experience, again, Dec. 1645, d. young; Hopestill, 6 Nov. 1647;
Wait, a d. 17 Mar. 1649; Thanks, July 1651, d. young; Desire, 17
Oct. 1652; Thomas, Apr. 1655, d. young; Unite, 13 Oct. 1656; and
Supply, a. 1661, wh. d. unm. 5 Mar. 1686, by the burst. of a gun on
Castle isl. He was ar. co. 1646, its lieut. 1655, capt. of the castle 1665
on d. of Davenport, in wh. post he contin. until usurp. of Andros, when
he relinq. it, rep. many yrs. betw. 1652 and 1673, and d. 2 Feb. 1692,
of course in 83d not, as Sewall writes, in 86th Yr. His wid. d. 29
June 1695, aged 78. Clap's Memoirs are quite interest. and may be
read, as reprint. in Young's Chronicles of Mass. His d. Elizabeth m. Joseph
Holmes of Roxbury; and Wait m. Jonathan Simpson of Charlestown,
and d. 3 May 1717. SAMUEL, Dorchester, eldest s. of the preced. m.
