others; and the will of the wid. 29 Aug. 1684, names d. Mary Mills, m.
23 Feb. 1660; Sarah was d. unm. and Abigail is not nam. prob. d.
young; Hannah m. 17 Sept. 1663, Timothy Palmer; Hepzibah m. 12
Jan. 1673, Thomas Welles of Hatfield. WILLIAM, Salisbury, but
whether bef. or after Oct. 1650, I kn. not. He and his w. were at that
time indict. in Plymouth col. as Bapt. Baylies, II. 211.

    BUFFINGTON, BENJAMIN, Salem, s. of Thomas, had Benjamin, b. 4
May 1699, and two other s. JOHN, Salem 1676. THOMAS, Salem
spelt Bovanton, m. 30 Dec. 1671, Sarah Southwick, perhaps d. more
prob. gr.d. of Lawrence of the same, had Thomas, b. 1 Mar. 1672;
Benjamin, 24 July 1675; and Abigail, 25 July 1695. THOMAS, Salem,
eldest s. of the preced. m. 28 Feb. 1699, Hannah Ross, had sev. ch.
whose names are not seen.

    BUFFUM, CALEB, Salem, s. prob. of the first Robert, m. 26 Mar. 1672,
Hannah, d. of the first Joseph Pope, had Caleb, b. 14 May 1673; and
Robert, 1 Dec. 1675. JOSEPH, Salem, perhaps br. of the preced. had
Joseph. His w. was punish. 1658 for attend. a Quaker meeting, with
her s. and perhaps she was again punish. 1662, with her d. w. of Robert
Wilson, and her sis. Smith, Perhaps w. of James or John. Felt. JOSHUA,
Salem, eldest s. of Robert, perhaps br. of the preced. by w. Damaris, d. of
Joseph Pope, had Joseph; was banish. 1659, on pain of d. Prob. the sentence
could not be carr. into effect, but he went to Eng. and got security against
such monstrous injust. ROBERT, Salem 1638, is said to have come from
Yorksh. in 1634, but perhaps the yr. is too early, as Felt first saw ment.
of him in 1638. Perhaps he was f. of all the preced. had w. Thomasin,
and d. Mary, wh. m. 22 Sept. 1673, Jeremiah Neal. His will was refus.
pro. bec. the witnesses would not sw. but only affirm. Inv. of his est.
was tak. 15 Nov. 1669.

    BUGBY, EDWARD, Roxbury, came in the Francis from Ipswich 1634,
aged 40, with w. Rebecca, 32, and d. Sarah, 4: had Joseph, b. 6 June
1640; and a ch. b. and d. Aug. 1642, acc. town rec. He join, the ch.
Aug. 1665, "an old man," says the rec. and when he d. 27 Jan. 1669,
"aged, as is said, above 80," I suppose, no discredit of the report is
intend. His will, of 26 Nov. preced. names only s. Joseph, and Sarah,
w.
of Richard Chamberlain, wh. is made excor. EDWARD, Roxbury,
by w. Abigail, d. of Richard Hall, had Abigail, b. 1 Oct. 1694; John,
2 Oct. 1696, d. 29 Jan. 1703; and other ch. in his will, 23 Jan. 1703,
pro. next mo. he refers to, but does not name, more than John. His f. is
not kn. JOHN, Roxbury, had w. Joanna, wh. d. 11 July 1690; and he
d. 16 Jan. 1704, in his will names ch. John, Thomas, Mary, and Joanna.
Thomas, b. Apr. 1668, had fam. JOSEPH, Roxbury, s. of the first Edward,
by w. Experience, d. of Andrew Pitcher, had Joseph, b. 17 Sept.
