    BOURDEN, JOHN and WILLIAM were of Watertown 1657, and the
former sw. fidel 1652.

    BOURLE, WILLIAM, Charlestown, a soldier in Moseley's comp. k. in
the Narraganset fight, 19 Dec. 1675; but my suspicion of the spell. of
the name is very great, tho. to offer a substitute is not easy. Mr. Wyman tells
me, the name was Burt.

    BOURNE, ELISHA, Sandwich, s. of Richard, m. 26 Oct. 1675, Patience
Skiff, d. perhaps, of James of the same, had Nathan, Elisha, Elizabeth Abigail,
Bathsheba, Hannah, and Mary, but as no date is giv. for any one, I
fear we can hardly be sure of the order of success. He d. 1706.
GARRETT or JARRARS, or GERALD, or GERARD, or JARRETT, perhaps
JARED, Boston, in the employm. of Elder William Colborne in June
1634, when adm. to the ch. possib. came with him, 1630, freem. 6 May
1535, had John, b. 30 July 1643, d. next mo. but the rec. of his bapt. at
Roxbury, 6 Aug. calls him Gerard, as does the town rec. of b. at R.
and on 30 May foll. his w. Mary, not Ann, as the modern copy of rec.
has it, d. His resid. was at Muddy riv. now Brookline, in the early day
appurten. to Boston, and there in 1654 he was appoint. a constable; but
in Boston he had Jarat (so writ.) bapt. 7 Mar. 1651, and in 1665 rem.
to R. I. HENRY, Plymouth, or Scituate, perhaps both 1634, rem.
1639 to Barnstable, of wh. he was rep. 1644, had there Dorcas, bapt. 26
Aug. 1649. JOB, Sandwich, s. of Richard, m. 1664, Ruhama Hallett,
d. of Andrew, had Timothy, b. 1666; Eleazer, 1670; Hezekiah, 1675;
John; and others; certain. Hannah, 1667. JOHN, Salem 1637, s. or
more prob. br. of Thomas, rem. 1649, to Gloucester, there by w. Mary had
Bethia, b. 11 Oct. 1651; rem. next yr. JOHN, Marshfield, s. of Thomas,
perhaps b. in Eng. m. 18 July 1645, Alice, d. of Thomas Besbedge the
sec. m. on town's book, being in his will of Nov. 1672 so describ. and her
ch. nam. Thomas, b. 1647; and Sarah, 1663, with allusion to other sis.
wh. were Elizabeth b. 1646; Alice, 1649; Ann, 1651; Martha, 1653, and
Mary, 1660; there was bur. 8 Dec. 1684; and his wid. was bur. 9 May
1686. NEHEMIAH, Charlestown 1638, shipbuilder, was also of Dorchester,
tho. Dr. Harris has not giv. him a resid. rem. to Boston 1640,
freem. 2 June 1641, went to Eng. in 1644, and serv. in the army of the
Parl. as maj. of Rainsborough's reg.; by w. Hannah had Nehemiah, b.
10 June 1640, and hannah, b. 10, bapt. 14 Nov. 1641; but prov. at last
carr. his fam. to Eng. and may be the man ment. in a let. of the w. of
Goffe, the reigicide, in 1672. See 3 Mass. Hist. Coll. I. 60 and IX. 268.
Winthrop II. 245. RICHARD, Lynn 1637, rem. to Sandwich, was the first
instruct. of the Ind. at Mashpee, begin. in 1658, ord. 1670 by Eliot and
Cotton; m. July 1677, Ruth Winslow, wid. of Jonathan, d. of William
Sargent, but it was by former w. whose name we find not, that his ch.
were b.; Job; Elisha, b. 1641; and Shearjashub, 1643. He d. 1682.
