Lower Paxton Township is a township of the second class in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 53,501 at the 2020 census.[1] It is the most populous municipality in Dauphin County, exceeding that of Harrisburg (population 50,099), the state capital, and the 13th most populated municipality in the state.

The township was incorporated in 1767 from Paxton Township.
