Margaret Trudell Romig (Mrs. Paul W. Romig) was born in the City of Iron Mountain, Dickinson Co., Michigan, the daughter of Fabian J. and Mary J. Foster Trudell. Her Revolutionary War ancestors are: William McClean (ca. 1713- after 1779, of York Co., Pennsylvania); Samuel Phillips (1752-1844, of Wilmington Township, Pennsylvania); James Wing (1733-1791, of Hardwick, Massachusetts); Samuel McClean (1744-after 1787); Jedediah Foster (1738-1832, of Southampton, L.I., New York); Gideon Carpenter (1725-1805, of Hardwick, Massachusetts). All are ancestors of her mother.
