Usage Tips

Caution

Do not trust the ancestry in this book prior to New England, nor that any of early immigrants Pierce lists were related.

Great Migration Begins (p. 1472) calls this work "one of [Col. Frederick Clifton Pierce's] usual confused productions", and states that the Richard Pearce identified in this book as the first immigrant to New England "does not seem to have existed" (although the Richard that Pierce says was his son did).
