[edit] DescriptionThomas Pearsall (d.1642/1643) immigrated from England to Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Descendants lived throughout the United States. Includes much English ancestry. Vol. 3 includes autobiography of Clarence Eugene Pearsall, including life among the Indians while exploring for lumber possibilities in northern California and in Oregon, and later his trip through Central America (part of the way with John L. Stephens of Guatemalan archaeological fame). [edit] Usage TipsWARNING: TAG 18:78-90 ("The Fabulous Pearsalls") makes a blistering critique of the research done in this publication -- especially concerning the emigrating Thomas Pearsall/Purcell and his supposed Pearsall sons of Long Island. The authors pull apart pretty much every supposed fact about Thomas and his relationship (or lack thereof, in their view) to the Long Island Pearsalls.
