The book has been reprinted many times and as of February, 2010, may be purchased online from commercial book stores. It is a small book of 78 pages containing a brief history of the parish and a listing of the records - birth, marriage and death - listed alphabetically by surname.

Some of the register was previously transcribed (anonymously) and published in "Extracts from the Register of St. Paul's Parish, Stafford (Now King George) County, Virginia", Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, v. 8, pp. 360-366 (1901). However, not all items given in these two transcriptions are in agreement, so it is advisable to check both.
