Thomas Kimberly was baptized in 1604 at Wootton-sub-Edge, Gloucester, England, the son of Abraham and Katherine Howe Kimberly. He married twice and was the father of five children, ca. 1630-1675. The family was living at Dorchester, Massachusetts, by January 1637/38, at New Haven, Connecticut, by 1639. He died in 1672. Descendants listed lived in Connecticut, New York, Illinois, and elsewhere. Descendants spell their suname Kimberly, Kimberley, and Kimberlin.
