Usage Tips

William Hodges (d.1654) emigrated during or before 1638 from England to Salem, Massachusetts, and moved to Taunton, Massachusetts, where he married Mary Andrews. A brother of William named either John or Richard Hodges founded the Salem, Massachusetts branch of the family, according to family tradition. George Hodges (d.1709), a son of this brother, married twice. Includes other seventeenth century Hodges immigrants, and some of their descendants. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, California and elsewhere.
