Nathaniel Foote (ca.1593-1644) married Elizabeth Deming about 1615, and immigrated from England to Watertown, Massachusetts, and they later were among the first settlers of Wethersfield, Connecticut. After his death, Elizabeth married Thomas Welles (who later became governor of Connecticut). Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
