This RootsWeb-hosted site contains three groups of historical documents:
- A letter written by Henry Remsen Haskin in 1815 asking permission to court Elizabeth Bussing.
- Documents from J(ames) Maurice O'Keeffe's law practice in New York City. Two documents relate to runaway slaves. One 1860 letter is regarding Abraham and Allen, brothers, who were the slaves of a Christopher C Satchell in Virginia. The second is from John M Winter of Louisville, Kentucky, seeking a fugitive slave named John Thomas.
- Civil War correspondence of the O'Keeffe family of New York City, including James O'Keefe and Thomas O'Keefe (soldiers) to their father Maurice.
