Usage Tips

"In addition to the town records themselves, the indexes of births, marriages, and deaths registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1848, when registration became compulsory, until 1850, have been extracted for Fairhaven residents. Early gravestone inscriptions have been collected, including those stones removed from the Old Burying Ground (Railroad Park) and reset at Riverside Cemetery. "Extracts of data concerning residents of Fairhaven named in the 1855 and 1865 Massachusetts censuses and the federal census of 1820 have been included"--Pref.
