Graves of the country cemeteries of Comanche are documented by geographical location within the cemetery (helping you put family groups together) and has an index of surnames. This book does NOT have the cemeteries within the city of Comanche and, therefore, leaves out 1000s of graves in the county. Another good source that includes the city graves as well as the country graves is "Comanche County Gravestone Inscriptions," which is a 4 volume set written by Margaret Waring and her son Sam Waring. Description: Census of cemeteries in Comanche County, Texas. Sites included are Antioch, Amity, Baggett Creek, Board Church, Buffalo, Copperas Creek, James Farmer family, Ferrill, Hanson/Roch, Hazeldell, Indian Creek, Logan's Gap/Rock Church, Luker, Martin Springs, Mercer's Gap, Midway, Newburg, Pettijohn, Sand Hill, Sardis, Shiloh, Siloam, Suggs, Taylor's Chapel/Concord, Tolliver, and a number of small sites or single graves. Principal field work done in 1975. Includes index. Both books are available at the Comanche Public library where Margaret Waring is the librarian. They can answer queries.
