- This work has five (5) volumes published over ten years.
- The title is commonly listed as "Case and His CoNtemporaries" rather than the one used in the printed work (which actually uses an obscure synonym of "contemporaries", namely "cotemporaries"). As an example, the Library of Congress catalog uses "Case and his contemporaries" as the beginning of the title.
- More than one site misspells "contemporaries" as "contempories", listing some instances under "Case and his contempories"
