Matthias Brackney was born in Mansfield Parish, Nottinghamwick in 1693, the son of Matthias and Elizabeth Brackney. He and his wife, Frances Denman migrated to Chester Township, Burlington County, New Jersey about 1723. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, and elsewhere.
