Thomas Benedict (b.1617), of Huguenot lineage from France to Germany to Holland to England, immigrated in 1638 to Norwalk, Connecticut, and married Mary Bridgum. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and related families. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
