Christopher Avery (d.1679) immigrated before 1642 from England to Salem, Massachusetts, and moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1659. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado and elsewhere. Includes origin of the name, some family history, and genealogical about about important Avery individuals in England to about 1066 A.D.
