Some images from a Re-enactment of an 18th Century Trade Fair held 8 August 2008 at Fort Loudon, Vonore, Tennessee. (Layout needs more work). Click on the images for a larger version, especially the photographs of the two people shown in "Total Immersion". Most of the re-enacters are simply in costume. These two are really into the life, but you can only see it if you look at them close up.

Left:Man in Soldiers uniform, "Total Immersion" (click image to see detailed view. Note the foodstains on the uniform. Also note the "brush and pick" hanging in front of his uniform; its part of the musket cleaning kit.) Right:Pioneer Woman with Yoke. "Total Immersion". The yoke slips over her shoulders, and made it easier to carry heavy loads.

Left:A peddlar displaying his wares; Note the wolf pelt hanging on on the left. Everything seen is 18th century replica---except for the green paper notebook, and the computer printed sign on the ground! Right:A Wench and a Blacksmith's Apprentice.

Left: Two Bakers Baking. Perhaps not exactly backwoods dress! Right: Backwoodsmen taking a break. Click image to see detailed view, where an 18th century pipe is visible.
