begraafplaats? [26 November 2010]

Fred, is this the same place as: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zorgvlied_(begraafplaats)?--Jennifer (JBS66) 08:21, 14 November 2010 (EST)

Yes, indeed ! --Fred Bergman (User:Bergsmit) 09:33, 14 November 2010 (EST)

Zorgvlied is the official cemetery of Nieuwer-Amstel since 1964 renamed Amstelveen. This cemetery still is owned by Amstelveen but is since 1896 situated in Amsterdam! So we could merge both cemeteries Zorgvlied into one. Who decides if Amstelveen or Amsterdam? --Klaas (Ekjansen) 07:27, 25 November 2010 (EST)

I would be inclined keep the Place:Zorgvlied, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands page and redirect this one to it. I can do this tomorrow (holiday here today...) or you can put the following code inside the text box on the main page here to redirect it to the other page: #REDIRECT[[Place:Zorgvlied, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands]] When you do this, all items on the Zorgvlied, Amstelveen page will be deleted, and all watchers will be transferred to the Zorgvlied, Amsterdam page.
You did the correct thing on that page by adding Nieuwer Amstel as the also located in place. That brings up a question then: it looks like Place:Nieuwer Amstel, Noord-Holland, Netherlands and Place:Amstelveen, Noord-Holland, Netherlands are the same place. Which one should we keep? --Jennifer (JBS66) 07:47, 25 November 2010 (EST)
From 1870-1896 this cemetery was in Nieuwer-Amstel and afterwards Amsterdam it never was in the village or gemeente Amstelveen. So I prefer Nieuwer-Amstel (my birthplace in my passport)--Klaas (Ekjansen) 08:57, 25 November 2010 (EST)
Does this mean you'd rather the cemetery be titled Place:Zorgvlied, Nieuwer Amstel, Noord-Holland, Netherlands and both of the other versions redirected to it? --Jennifer (JBS66) 05:49, 26 November 2010 (EST)
Well that was the origine later it changed by annexation of the area into Amsterdam and even later by renaming Nieuwer-Amstel into Amstelveen. I would prefer to go to the origins.--Klaas (Ekjansen) 05:53, 26 November 2010 (EST)--Jennifer (JBS66) 06:21, 26 November 2010 (EST)
