Is this a duplicate place page? [19 December 2010]

Lidewij, I see you added a note that Briels Nieuwland = Place:Vierpolders, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.

Should I merge the pages, and keep the Vierpolders naam? Since we are renaming to add the gemeente, I can title the new page Place:Vierpolders, Brielle, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. Is this correct? --Jennifer (JBS66) 18:48, 14 December 2010 (EST)

Jennifer, de best is, Briels Nieuwland, Vierpolders, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands als REDIRECT Vierpolders, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands and maybe ’t Nieuwland, Vierpolders, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, also REDIRECT. They are different names for the same place. The history of the names I can not tell in a few words.
‘t Nieuwland is the name a polder, 2010 a new-build district.
Vierpolders is a former municipality (to 1980) .. So no Brielle.
Nieuwland, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands is a another place http://www.atlas1868.nl/zh/nieuwland.html

Alternate Names [19 December 2010]

Lidewij, on place pages, the Alternate Names box serves a special purpose. It helps match places during gedcom uploads. Each variant name for a place (SpellingVarianten) must be on a separate line with no additional punctuation like commas , or periods . I am not sure if the brackets [ ] will be a problem or not. --Jennifer (JBS66) 08:12, 19 December 2010 (EST)

There is a lot to learn thanks for the coaching. --Lidewij 11:32, 19 December 2010 (EST)
