After suggesting Speedy Delete for Dalmahoy, I came across this description on Scottish Places (or the Gazetteer of Scotland):
- A country club and parkland estate, Dalmahoy lies 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Ratho on the western edge of the City of Edinburgh Council Area. Owned by the Dalmahoy family from the 13th century to the 17th century, Dalmahoy Estate was acquired next by the Dalrymples and then, in the mid-18th century, by James Douglas, the 14th Earl of Morton (1703-68). The estate remains in the ownership of the Earls of Morton. The estate extends to 405 ha (1000 acres) and includes two golf courses laid out in 1927 and 1935 by James Braid (1870 - 1950). There was a prisoner-of-war camp here during World War II and Dalmahoy was developed as a hotel, golf and country club in 1990.
Although this paragraph gives some history for the place, it still cannot be described as a hamlet or village. --goldenoldie 09:45, 18 March 2013 (EDT)
