Zahns Corners Located at the intersection of Hwy 220 and Zahns Corners Road (c. 2 mi. east of Piketon), Zahns Corners is named for the Zahn family that once owned and occupied this land. Andreas Zahn emmigrated with his family from Schwegenheim, Germany, and arrived in Pike County in July of 1837 or 1838. After his death in 1845, his two sons, Johann Jacob and Johann Friedrich, owned the land. In 1864, not long after the Confederate raid in the area, Johann Friedrich moved his family to Cass Co., IL, but Johann Jacob stayed in Pike Co. until his death in 1866. His widow remained until 1893.
