Wynyard is a rural town on the north-west coast of Tasmania, Australia west of Burnie on the Bass Highway at the mouth of the Inglis River.

At the Wynyard had an urban population of 5,061 and a total greater population of 5,990. It is part of the Waratah-Wynyard Council local government area and is a regional hub, servicing the surrounding rural districts. The largest employer in the town is the dairy processing plant, owned by the New Zealand company, Fonterra.
