Bowling Green is a city in and the county seat of Wood County, Ohio, United States, located 20 miles southwest of Toledo. The population was 30,028 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Toledo Metropolitan Area and a member of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments. Bowling Green is the home of Bowling Green State University. Bowling Green was first settled in 1832, was incorporated as a town in 1855, and became a city in 1904.
