Huish Episcopi (#15 on map) is a civil parish and a village in Somerset, England. It surrounds the parish of Langport (#22) and is 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Somerton (#27). The parish includes the hamlets of Bowdens (in the far north), Combe (closer to Langport), Langport Westover (immediately west of Langport, formerly Westmoor), Wearne (northeast of Langport), and Pibsbury (to the east of the parish). According to the UK census of 2011, the parish had a population of 2,095 in an area of more than 2,100 acres.

Much of the land is low lying with the rivers Yeo and Parrett meeting to the southwest of the village. There were several stone quarries in the parish, particularly around Pibsbury.

Huish Episcopi is home to St Mary's Church, which also serves nearby Langport.

Governance

The parish was part of the hundred of Williton and Freemanors and was also considered to be in Kingsbury Hundred. Between 1894 and 1974 it was in the Langport Rural District.

In 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, all urban and rural districts across England were abolished and counties were reorganized into metropolitan and non-metropolitan districts. Huish Episcopi has been in the non-metropolitan South Somerset District since 1974.
