West Budleigh Hundred was a small hundred, approximately 8 miles north to south and 4 miles east to west, located to the north and northeast of Crediton. It is #30 on the map.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of West Budleigh Hundred from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "BUDLEIGH (West), a hundred in Devon. It contains Cheriton Fitzpaine parish, and six other parishes. Acres: 17,367. Population: 2,921. Houses: 619."
GENUKI provides a longer description from White's History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Devonshire of 1850.
