Washingley is a hamlet and ashrunken medieval village near Folksworth. Until 1965 the village was located in the County of Huntingdonshire. After mergers in 1965 and 1974 the county became part of Cambridgeshire.

In 1935 the civil parish of Washingley, along with Folksworth was abolished and the area was merged into one civil parish named Folksworth and Washingley.
