Washakie County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wyoming. As of 2010, the population was 8,533. Its county seat is Worland.

Washakie County was created on February 21, 1911 with land detached from Big Horn County.
Washakie County was named for the head chief of the Shoshone people, Chief Washakie, who became an ally of the US Government.
