There are two settlements named Wallacetown in what is now South Ayrshire. This one is now a community on the north side of the River Ayr within the Town of Ayr, but formerly in the parish of Newton-on-Ayr, the other is a hamlet much further south in the parish of Dailly.

In order to differentiate, within WeRelate, the two places have been named Wallacetown in Ayr and Wallacetown in Dailly.
