Verona is a town in Oneida County, New York, United States. The population was 6,293 at the 2010 census. The source of the town name is unknown, though it's possibly named after Verona, Italy. The Town of Verona is in the western part of the county and is west of the City of Rome. [edit] History
The town was first settled in 1792. The Town of Verona was established from the Town of Westmoreland in 1802. In 1993, the Oneida Nation purchased land in the town and opened a casino and bingo hall.
