Vaishali district is a district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is a part of Tirhut division. Vaishali popularly known for the birthplace of Lord Mahavir of Jain religion. Vaishali is also known for the World's first democratic republic from ancient time not based on any physical evidence. Hajipur is the district headquarter popularly known for Banana forest.
