Union Township is a civil township in Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 405 at the 2010 census, making it the least populous township in the county. This was slightly down from 417 at the 2000 census, making it the only municipality in Grand Traverse County to see a population decrease between 2000 and 2010. The township is covered nearly entirely by the Pere Marquette State Forest.

In the traditional township numbering for the State of Michigan, Union Township is T 26 N, R 9 W.

Michigan also has townships of the same name in Branch County and Isabella County.
