Trysull and Seisdon is a civil parish within the South Staffordshire non-metropolitan districtin the county of Staffordshire, England. Until 1974 it formed part of Seisdon Rural District. The 2011 census recorded a usually resident population for the parish of Trysull & Seisdon of 1,150 persons in 455 households.

Trysull

Trysull is a rural village approximately five miles south-west of Wolverhampton. With the adjacent village of Seisdon, it forms the civil parish of Trysull and Seisdon.

The village has not been greatly affected by over-modern development and still retains many of the old country cottages, houses and a manor house.

Seisdon

Seisdon is a rural village in Staffordshire approximately six miles west of Wolverhampton. It is also the name of one of the five hundreds of Staffordshire, Seisdon Hundred.

Seisdon was originally a hamlet within the parish of Trysull, lying one mile north-west of the village of Trysull itself, near the border with Shropshire. There is a narrow bridge of several arches over the river Smestow. On the county boundary there is a high position which formed an ancient entrenchment named Abbot's Wood Castle.

Almost all of its residents were originally employed in the agricultural industry.
