Trousdale County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population is 7,259. In area, it is the smallest county in Tennessee. Its county seat is Hartsville6, with which it shares a consolidated city-county government. It is located just beyond the ring of "bedroom communities" that comprise the Greater Nashville-Davidson County metropolitan area. Farming and livestock characterize this largely rural area.
