I have found references to Tregarva village in the 1890's on the Lumsden & District Heritage Museum web pages. The book, "What's in a Name" by E. T. Russell indicates it was a hamlet in the late 1880's and had nearly disappeared in the 1970's with the removal of the Tregarva elevator occurring in Nov 1999. I have not found a modern location for the village so I believe it is a thing of the past. However, the name of Tregarva continues to be used for the rural district. It is located in RM #189 Lumsden. On the Saskatchewan Settlement Experience web site by the Saskatchewan Archives Board, a silent film from about 1923 shows the entire harvesting process as filmed in the Tregarva district.
