Tonypandy is a town and community (or civil parish) in the county borough (principal area) of Rhondda Cynon Taf, within the historic county boundaries of Glamorgan, Wales, lying in the Rhondda Fawr Valley. It is a former industrial coal mining town. Tonypandy had a population of 3,750 in the UK census of 2011.
