Summerseat is a village in the Ramsbottom district of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It lies in the Irwell Valley, on the course of the River Irwell to the north of Bury, along the course of the M66 motorway.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Summerseat from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"SUMMERSEAT, a village in Elton township, Lancashire; on the Manchester and Bacup railway, 2½ miles N of Bury. It has a station on the railway, and a post-office under Manchester."
