A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Stretton Magna from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"STRETTON-MAGNA, a chapelry in Glenn-Magna parish, Leicestershire; 2¾ miles N of Glenn [railway] station, and 4¾ SE of Leicester. Post town: Leicester. Real property: £1,435. Population: 42. Houses: 7. S. Hall is the residence of Lieut. Col. King. The living is annexed to Glenn-Magna."

A history of Stretton Magna (from which the quotation below is taken) can be found in the Victoria County History of Leicestershire.

"Great Stretton lies five miles south-east of Leicester on the Gartree road. For ecclesiastical purposes, it has remained a chapelry of Great Glen parish but it has been independent for civil purposes since the late 18th century at least. Its area was 703 acres.
"The village, which has disappeared, stood in the fields to the south of the Gartree road, and to the south and south-east of the parish church, which remains an isolated building. The parish contains Stretton Hall on its southern boundary and only two farm-houses, Cotterill Farm on its northern boundary and Harris's Farm by the side of the Gartree road and opposite the church."

There is no article in Wikipedia although Great Stretton is mentioned as a "deserted mediavel village" in its article on the neighbouring settlement of Stretton Parva and there is also an article on Stretton Hall.
