Stratford on Avon Rural District surrounded the town of Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire from 1894 until 1974. A major alteration in county boundaries between Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in 1931 resulted in a number of civil parishes being transferred into the rural district.

The rural district became part of the Stratford on Avon District in 1974.
