Speeton is now a village in the civil parish of Reighton, located in North Yorkshire, England since 1974. It lies near the edge of the coastal cliffs midway between Filey and Bridlington. This is North Yorkshire's eastern most settlement.

Speeton railway station on the Yorkshire Coast Line from Hull to Scarborough served the village until it closed on 5 January 1970.

Speeton was originally a chapelry in the parish of Bridlington in the Dickering Wapentake of the East Riding of Yorkshire, but was made a separate civil parish in 1866. From 1894 until 1935 it was part of the Bridlington Rural District. In 1935 it was absorbed into the parish of Reighton.
