South Huntington is a hamlet (and census-designated place) within the Town of Huntington in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 9,422 at the 2010 census. Residents have a Huntington Station, New York, postal address.

South Huntington is the birthplace of Walt Whitman, and a shopping mall named after him is nearby. It is also home to St. Anthony's High School and Walt Whitman High School.
