Shiner is a city in Lavaca County, Texas, United States. The town was named after Henry B. Shiner who donated for railroad right of way. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 2,069. One of the most notable families of the area is the Wolters family. The "Edwin Wolters Memorial Museum", built in his honor is within walking distance of a brewery he worked with, The Spoetzl Brewery, which is now more commonly known as the Shiner brewery.
