Poulton-cum-Seacombe was a township in Wallasey ancient parish, in the Wirral hundred of Cheshire, England. It became a civil parish in 1866. The civil parish was abolished in 1912 to become part of the County Borough of Wallasey. (Prior to 1912 it had been part of the Wallasey Urban District.)

Poulton-cum-Seacombe included the villages of Poulton Lancelyn, Seacombe and the hamlet of Somerville. The two villages are now considered to be separate places. The population was of the civil parish was 178 in 1801, 3044 in 1851, and 20,749 in 1901. At the 2001 Census, the population of Seacombe (only) was 15,158 (the population for Poulton was not given).

In the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974 the entire Wirral Peninsula, with the exception of the municipal borough of Ellesmere Port and urban district of Neston at the southern end, became the Metropolitan Borough of the Wirral in the new administrative county of Merseyside.
