Sachse is a city in Dallas County and Collin County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 9,751, but a July 1, 2002 Census estimate showed this city's population rising to 13,015. As of 2004, the population was estimated at 16,200.

Northeast of Dallas, Sachse is approximately north of the President George Bush Turnpike (Texas State Highway 190) and Firewheel Town Center. Sachse is home to the 18-hole Woodbridge Golf Course, home of the Northern Texas Chapter of the PGA of America.

Sachse was founded by William Sachse, a Prussian immigrant, in 1845. Purchasing from Collin County, he erected the first cotton mills and gins in the county. There is currently a major historical revivalist movement, intending to restore several old buildings as well as create a local history museum.
