Rustburg is a census-designated place (CDP) in Campbell County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,271 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Campbell County.

The public high school in Rustburg is Rustburg High School. The public primary and elementary schools are Rustburg Middle School, Rustburg Elementary School, Yellow Branch Elementary School, Fray Educational Center, and Cambell County Technical Center.

Rustburg was named for Jeremiah Rust, who donated fifty acres of his land for the village in 1784.
