Rockland St. Peter has been since 1935 a village within the civil parish of Rocklands in the English county of Norfolk. Its church is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in the county.

From 1894 until 1935 it was a separate civil parish in Wayland Rural District from 1894 and prior to that an ancient or ecclesiastical parish in Wayland Hundred. It joined with the adjoining parish to the southeast, Rockland All Saints and St. Andrew, to form the current parish of Rocklands. (Source: A Vision of Britain through Time

NOTE: The parish of Rockland St. Mary is located in the southern Norfolk Broads and is about 20 miles to the east. Other than its name, has no link to these parishes now in the Breckland District.
