[edit] Research TipsThe Town of Preston was incorporated in 1687. The parish of Long Society, a.k.a. East Society, was annexed from the Town of Norwich to the Town of Preston in 1786 when Norwich was broken up into several towns. The Town of Griswold was taken off from the Town of Preston in 1815.
Preston is a town in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 4,726 at the 2010 census. The town includes the villages of Long Society, Preston City, and Poquetanuck.
